    I love puppets!

    I’ve composed scores for 20+ puppet theatre shows from weird and wonderful Avant Garde adult shows to super cute family shows like Julia ‘The Gruffalo’ Donaldson’s take on ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’.

    Each of them was a joy and pushed me to make new and different kinds of music.

    I wanted to share some of that music BUT… I do like a ‘proper’ song me, a ’singer-songwriter-y’ song. I just do. So I took some of the existing compositions and transformed them into new ‘proper’ songs and what belters they are!

Based on a cue that was meant to 'make the audience feel nothing at all' - for a show that didn't happen because of lock down - it seemed only right to sing about the pointlessness of everything. This is now a total Banger.
