Dear Listener,

Thank you for joining us for album number 6. This time it's all about birds.

I took some field recordings of various birds singing and notated them so they could be built into parts of songs, played by the excellently talented people you hear here.

In each song a character hears the birds sing and things they hear something in there for them; a message of love or hope, maybe a warning of death or madness or even the end of the world.

We all like spotting patterns and most of us can't help thinking we see some sense amongst the random coincidences and nonsense that make up most of our days. No harm in that, maybe it's part of what makes us human; these stories we tell ourselves we hear in a chattering of birds.
