Due to popular demand - no, really! - we have a very limited edition run of CDs of MUSIC FOR PUPPETS .

    I love puppets!

I’ve composed scores for 20+ puppet theatre shows from weird and wonderful Avant Garde adult shows to super cute family shows like Julia ‘The Gruffalo’ Donaldson’s take on ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’.

Each of them was a joy and pushed me to make new and different kinds of music.

I wanted to share some of that music BUT… I do like a ‘proper’ song me, a ’singer-songwriter-y’ song. I just do. So I took some of the existing compositions and transformed them into new ‘proper’ songs and what belters they are!

VERY proud to add this to my catalogue - enjoy!

about

This is my Dad Sam Mosley reading the poem he wrote for my niece Nelly's 18th birthday.

The song playing at the end is written and sung by him and pressed onto a 7" at a 'Make Your Own Record' booth in the 60s'

Cue from Beowulf for Barely Human Puppets in Brighton.

lyrics

The Eternal Question
Where does time go?

Is he hiding under the stairs in a straight row?
Or in a misers deep pockets ne'er to see the light?
Or behind the Queens throne correct and polite?

We take time
ironically
to ponder this thought
then we're told he can fly
so can he be caught?

I do know he's a thief
and fair share's not his style
some folk prosper long
and some a short while

there's the beginning
the middle
but never the end

Father time is a master
we can't comprehend
so don't ignore him
but use him with care
for when you're not looking
he'll still be there
