    I love puppets!

    I’ve composed scores for 20+ puppet theatre shows from weird and wonderful Avant Garde adult shows to super cute family shows like Julia ‘The Gruffalo’ Donaldson’s take on ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’.

    Each of them was a joy and pushed me to make new and different kinds of music.

    I wanted to share some of that music BUT… I do like a ‘proper’ song me, a ’singer-songwriter-y’ song. I just do. So I took some of the existing compositions and transformed them into new ‘proper’ songs and what belters they are!

Originally from Odd Doll's 'Whisker's First Winter' (2019) I took all the tinkly bells and not-quite-Christmassy things off and really liked this bare bones piano idea.

I think the 'everyday superhero' theme may have been a bit Pandemic Lockdown inspired - clapping for careers etc, and i think this should be in an advert. Its like one of those sad piano cover versions but it's actually the REAL version.
