Here is the desert. Feel the scorch. See the star-gazer.
He is terrified, darting from one hiding place to the next, flesh burned by the relentless sun, mind crazed by its remorseless heat. As birds circle above him a voice in his head sings of a hound dog on his trail. But there is no dog, no-one is following him - there is only the open endless desert sky and the birds circling above. You can outrun a hound dog but the birds are here and the birds are now and the birds are the Butcher.
