    I love puppets!

    I’ve composed scores for 20+ puppet theatre shows from weird and wonderful Avant Garde adult shows to super cute family shows like Julia ‘The Gruffalo’ Donaldson’s take on ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’.

    Each of them was a joy and pushed me to make new and different kinds of music.

    I wanted to share some of that music BUT… I do like a ‘proper’ song me, a ’singer-songwriter-y’ song. I just do. So I took some of the existing compositions and transformed them into new ‘proper’ songs and what belters they are!

The repeated rhodes pattern always sounded like it wanted to be a bit cooler than it was allowed to be in the show and so the idea came to sing about that too. I had assumed I'd get somebody actually cool to sing it but I liked it so much I kept it to sing myself.
