Years pass, decades, perhaps a century? The lighthouse still stands dark, the island unvisited and nobody remembers when it was ever any other way. Here is the star-gazer, a man of cold science with a slender hot wire of romance running through him. He looks up at the night skies thinking 'there must be more to life than this...' Here is the scientist, a woman of serious intent for whom emotions are other people's business to be measured like thigh-bones. She excavates the island's history thinking 'there must be more to life than this...' If only they could connect, what secrets might be revealed?
