The storm dies. The Lighthouse is out. A figure swims towards the island but without the lighthouse they cannot find the shore. Our young man watches from the lighthouse for the figure out at sea is not him. Watching the flailing figure lose their way our young man, sea-changed and heart-hardened sings that he will keep the lighthouse dark. No-one else shall come or go driven by the fickle whim of love. Everything is lost - no hope, no light, no love. There's no such thing as a soul to save.
